EVERYTHING FOR AND BY THE PEOPLE
« For the Honour of France, for the sacred interests of Humanity »
(Napoleon the Great, 17th of Ventôse Year VIII – Saturday 8th March 1800)
On the 16th of June 1815, Napoleon the Great vanquished the Prussian army under Blucher, while Marshal Ney, at the head of the left wing of the Army of the North, grappled with the Allied army under Wellington.
To this triumph, the Emperor gave the name of his observation post, making of his last military victory another battle of Fleurus. Likewise, when writing his Will in April 1821, he bequeathed half of his private domain « to the officers and soldiers who remain of the French army, who fought from 1792 to 1815 for the glory and the independence of the nation ».
The Bonapartist Movement pays hommage to those who fought at Fleurus, and to all of the officers and soldiers who fought from 1792 to 1815 for the glory and the independence of France and of her allies, against the unjust aggressions of the seven coalitions leagued against them.
We recall by the present declaration our combat to restore to the work of remembrance and solidarité of the Cornflower of France the visibility it deserves.
We also invite you, by the same occasion, to sign and to have others sign, our petition in aid of the armies and police forces of France and of the United Kingdom, and their families.
We have been asked if the Bonapartist Movement intended to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the battle of Waterloo, and if so, how ?
This is the opportunity for us to answer three questions.
Firstly, the question of our principles. We regularly publish articles on our projects, demands and propositions, but for a rapid summary of our principles, here are two documents that merit reading :
Our decision of the 17th of February 2015 will also give you elements on the direction of our combat, as much at the national, European, Francophone, Latin or global level, as in the départements*, towns and villages.
(to be published on the 17th of July 2015).
* Or equivalent.
The second question, our assessment, or report on the current situation.
This question will be the subject of an article to be published on the 22nd of June 2015.
The third question is that of commemorations.
We invite you to read our reply in our article on this subject, to be published on the 18th of July 2015.
