A CALL TO ARMS
This is the translation of an appeal that was first addressed to all French citizens, and indeed to anyone residing on French soil, but even if such is not your situation, please do not hesitate to write to your own head of State. The Bonapartist Movement being global, and as poverty knows no frontiers, our fight is more than ever in the spirit of the quotation which figures at the end of this letter, and which is our second motto.
Following the launching of the ULM project (the Union of those who Combat Poverty), we learned of the visit by Nicolas Sarkozy, at that time president of the French Republic and co-prince of Andorra, to the Restos du Cœur. This is the only letter to which we have received no reply from the presidency of the Republic, contrary to other projects such as our campaign for the Cornflower of France. However, this implies that even without a written response, the presidential cabinet does indeed forward the letters that it studies.
Thus, subsequent to the change of president, and on the first anniversary of the launching of the ULM project on the 20th of October 2011, we invite you to support the next phase of this campaign by writing to His Excellency François Hollande, President of the French Republic and co-prince of Andorra, Palais de l’Élysée, 55, rue du faubourg Saint-Honoré, 75008 Paris. [For those resident in France] you do not need to add a stamp, and you are heartily encouraged to invite your family and friends to do likewise.
You can also seize this opportunity to sift through your possessions, and to make a donation directly to a person in need close to you, or by giving to an association of your choice.
«For the Honour of France,
for the sacred interests of Humanity» ,
Please remember to make a gesture, and to forward this appeal.
